Set on October 31, 2001. Edward Carnby's best friend and partner, Charles Fiske, has been found dead off the coast of Shadow Island, a mysterious island near the coast of Massachusetts. Carnby's investigation quickly leads him to Frederick Johnson, who informs him of Fiske's search for three ancient tablets with the ability to unlock an incredible and dangerous power. Johnson pleads with Carnby to take the place of Fiske and reopen the investigation in order to recover the tablets. Carnby accepts and makes it his mission to find Fiske's killer. Johnson introduces Edward to Aline Cedrac, an intelligent, young university professor. She joins Edward to recover the missing tablets and assist Professor Obed Morton, whom she believes to be her father. While flying over the coast of Shadow Island, Edward and Aline's plane comes under attack by an unknown creature. Edward and Aline both jump out of the plane and parachute to the ground, but are separated immediately. Edward lands in the dense forest just outside a manor, while Aline lands on the roof of it.
Review: The whole concept of the game stands out and if anything it's definitely on my recommended games to try out but one or probably several things I found challenging was how dark some areas pan out and also the designs can be hazardous and the other having to do with my character not having much means to regain their health once having zero options.
As mentioned this is something I'd recommend you try out if you ever get the time.

The gang goes through each area of the mansion and the lab. The player must pick up items for later use, such as a stool, a sausage, and a book with the code to get into the lab. The gang, except Shaggy and Scooby, investigates the mansion to look for clues. When Fred and Daphne see the ghost walk through a door, they go in to investigate. The ghost has vanished and Daphne is curious about a device called a "Tele-Pot," a teleporting toilet. Daphne disappears and is captured by Dr. Jekyll. Fred is worried and Velma studies the symbols in the house with the help of a book she found. She opens the door using a code from the book. Fred goes in to find Daphne and Velma decides to return the book.

After solving the mystery of the haunted mansion, Scooby-Doo and his pals go deep into the dungeons of the mansion to find the family treasure of the original owner of the mansion, Lady Ebdon.
The starting area acts as a level select area and the place where most of the conversation between the gang and the characters in the dungeons occur. After clearing a level, the next door is unlocked and players can go there. Players can't replay the levels they've already cleared.
In the levels, players have a time limit to find a clue and leave the level through the entrance. Players can switch between Scooby and Shaggy at any time and will need to use both characters to open paths for each other and solve the puzzles of the levels. Although the game has hearts in the top left corner of the screen, both Scooby and Shaggy lose one heart if the enemy touches them and have to start the level from the beginning.
