How To Watch eExtra's Kuiertyd In English?
Kuiertyd launched in 2018 and has since then become the most valuable member of eMedia's colony and a worthy advisory for M-Net's kykNET with shows like Soete Wraak, Elif, Impak and Gebroke Harte and Dokter Ali alongside a dedicated movie block.
For 5 years which is exactly how long Kuiertyd has been around, eExtra hasn't aired a Turkish drama in English I mean the last show was Matter Of Respect since then only reruns to the said show can be viewed on the channel with further content folded under Kuiertyd.
Last year, eMedia Investments acquired Sisterhood and this was the first Turkish series within that period to not form part of Kuiertyd alongside Yalanci (Liar) and Tainted Love (Leke). To make a long story short, one of the three were phased out - no replacement.
We could only assume that they want to put more emphasis on Kuiertyd even if that means keeping shows like Yalanci (Liar) and Tainted Love (Leke) away from eExtra and reducing the remaining shows that have not fallen victim to Kuiertyd (e.g. Fatmagul).
In general, eExtra is the only brand to serve such content from a wider spectrum but it doesn't mean that they're the only option. Sure the other two options come baring fruits but one of them (StarSat) supply the already viewed content in English.
Timeless Dizi Channel is a general entertainment channel owned by SPI International (a subsidiary of Canal+. It's currently one of the most popular brands in the division serving Turkish shows such as The Red Scarf, Karadayi, The End and Black Money Love.
Three years ago, StarSat added the channel on their platform. Unlike the latter MultiChoice, Timeless Dizi Channel operates on the platform full-time with eExtra and kykNET shows including Kind Van Die Noodlot, Stiletto Vendetta, Bittersoet and Vöelvry.
Timeless Dizi Channel is available on the Max (R299p/m) and Super (R230p/m) package on channel 141.

First Glimpse Into The New Character Expected On Daai Crazy Somer Season 2
Famous actor Olgun Toker managed to impress a large audience with the character of Burak Ersoylu in the series “Arıza” in the winter season. The actor portrayed a psychopathic character so well that the viewers of the series could even believe that he really was that person.
One of the names who left in the first season of the Daai Crazy Somer (Son Yaz) was Olgun Toker, who gave life to the character of Gökhan Şen…Toker showed a strong character acting in Son Yaz with his villain character, just like in the Arıza. Gokhan, who confronted Akgün, acted by Alperen Duymaz, and gave him great difficulties, spread evil…
In the second season of the Daai Crazy Somer, another character is coming, who will shake the story again. The name that will give life to this character has also emerged. Onur Bay, who has played the role of Tekin in the TV series Arka Sokaklar since the age of 9, became the new transfer of the series.
Onur Bay left Arka Sokaklar in June to play new roles. Everyone was surprised when it turned out that the actor’s new series was also Son Yaz.
It has been revealed that Onur Bay will come to the story with a character who will face and compete with Akgün, brought to life by Alperen Duymaz in the new season.
Gökhan was a bad guy and Akgün was very worn out. However, the new character will be a much more challenging person and will stand against Akgün. Onur Bay and Alperen Duymaz scenes will also be talked about a lot in the new season.

Why eVOD Ranks As The Best Alternative For eExtra's Kuiertyd?
A few days ago, a source had mentioned that Soete Wraak currently seen on eVOD would be launching on eExtra in the coming days and this was after the channel announced the launches of new series Hart Van Goud and Roekeloos Dade.
eMedia Investments has piled up their eVOD streaming service with four yet-to-be-seen developments for eExtra including Om Elke Draai, Chrysalis and Ramo with Die Put being one of the brand's longest running action series is currently on its third season.
Aside from kykNET, eMedia Investments has been having a bit of rivalry amongst their portfolio or in this case eVOD and eExtra. As seen already, consumers on the app are currently streaming the third season of Die Put with potential spoilers ahead of its launch on eExtra.
While as consumers viewing on eExtra are enjoying an even wider offering of fresh shows such as Elif and soon to exiting Verdeelde Liefde, #DisComplicated and Die Vertroueling. Other shows joining the lineup include Kurt En Shura and e.tv's Daai Crazy Somer.
The downside for eExtra particularly without eVOD is that these shows are arranged in particular hours of day and when load shedding hits sometimes even with rebroadcasts you're screwed as opposed to the streamer where you can view it anywhere at anytime.
Another aspect is that with streaming is the lack of censorship. I mean shows like Die Vertroueling and Die Put are confined to the nighttime while as eVOD gives you an option to watch these series in any hour of the day even with load shedding you could still find time.
I'm not saying eVOD is #1 as you have these shows on ePlesier similar to eExtra viewable at anytime. But considering this is a rival platform, the shows in question for eExtra are viewed firsthand meaning just like Die Put you're at risk of spoilers.
On top of that the platform has a tendency of signing you out no matter how frequent of a consumer you are as opposed to eExtra's current platform, Openview where you can experience signal loss but won't need to constantly log on to browse shows.
At this point, the only thing eExtra is good for at the moment is giving these shows more exposure and one way to better promote the vast offering seen on eVOD other than it's mostly rebroadcasts from the streamer or other platforms.

kykNET Vs. eExtra: MultiChoice's Purposed Attempt To Replicate Kuiertyd
MultiChoice and eMedia Investments have been on opposite sides for long time and the matter only worsened when the pay-tv operator opted to replicate the current offering seen with the red brand which led to the discontinuation of their 4 channels.
Now we look at what MultiChoice regards as the new eExtra.
kykNET serves as the Afrikaans division to M-Net's local endeavours offering content ranging from drama series, movies, lifestyle, reality shows and news something that's been lacking with SABC 2. Some notable titles include Tussen Ons, Suidooster and Binnelanders.
Honestly speaking, you can clearly see why MultiChoice would want to burden customers with something like kykNET I mean it has a lot of variety something which eExtra's Kuiertyd had but was later revamped to match that of Telemundo.
eExtra is very much regarded as general entertainment it doesn't have to be anything like HBO but anything that can offer a variety of flavours in one pot is cool by me. The channel features a range of telenovelas from Turkey, Korea and India including Elif and Twist Of Fate.
Let me say this one fact, if it wasn't for Kuiertyd I doubt a lot of consumers would take a lot of initiative to the Afrikaans movies and Die Kontrak. I'm not expecting them to get as much shows as most dubbed soaps but the impact does come with its own benefits.
It's not really about the language that got viewers glued to Doodsondes but the content in general. As it is, eExtra has a Turkish slot which falls out of Kuiertyd which is all the more proof that content drives in the ratings.
eExtra through Kuiertyd may lack a lot of things like reality shows, music and local dramas but you have to admit these Turkish shows is what gets anyone more viewers latched onto anything kykNET at this point.
Review: e.tv On Becoming An Open Window To Kuiertyd
Since the introduction of eExtra's Kuiertyd, e.tv has lent the block part of its schedule to air reruns of various telenovelas accompanied by the 17:30 slot which serves up new content to compliment the existing offering on the channel.
Earlier in the year, Rewind was scrapped or at least that's what they want everyone to believe as they rolled out a standalone Kuiertyd channel known as ePlesier which serves an additional outlet for repeats instead of helping to reduce the flow on e.tv.
Turkish programming is popular in South Africa I get it as kykNET too is joining on the antics but why put it up on 3 channels if you know 1 has mostly new than rebroadcast on top of that it's on eVOD as well. I mean wouldn't it be better to have it on less channels.
I mean repeats can be irritating especially if a broadcaster doesn't give viewers an opportunity to reminisce about a particular show and rush for its return. I do feel that e.tv should reduce the amount of Kuiertyd slots available in an attempt to get more consumers on the Openview platform.
ePlesier can be a waste I mean it's multitasking between two timelines and it doesn't have to be if only e.tv could cutback on amount of Kuiertyd during the week instead of duplicating the format seen with Mzansi Magic's channels.
Unlike DStv, Openview consumers aren't divided as it's singular or at least until Openview+ launches later in 2023 only then can pigs fly.
As of right now, I do feel perhaps merging the 8:30 slot with the 10:30 wouldn't be a bad idea as Kuiertyd is very much successful and the reduction would be another way to get more consumers latched onto the Openview platform as opposed to waiting on the bulk of content.
But if this is format is making them income who am I to oppose the choices a broadcaster makes. Cable is becoming obsolete and this is one of the few examples. Honestly, I'm more safer watching anything eExtra can dish out these days as opposed to zombify a schedule.
